The flight path map
See where an imported flight went and replay it: the map, the scrubber, and what happens when a log carries no GPS.
Imported flight logs that recorded GPS show the flight on a map — the path drawn as it was flown, with a replay you can scrub through. This page explains what you are looking at and what happens when a flight has no path.
Where it appears
Open Import log from the Flight Logs page (or the Flight logs tab of a client job). After a log parses, the flight's map appears above the confirmation card, so you can see the shape of the flight while confirming which aircraft it belongs to. On a client job, each parsed import row has a Track button that expands the same map inline.
The map
- The path is the route the log recorded, one point per GPS fix.
- H marks home — where the log says the flight started from.
- Tiles are OpenStreetMap. The map shows where the aircraft went; it shows no airspace boundaries and makes no claim about where flying is permitted.
The replay
Below the map: a timeline of the flight. Drag the scrubber to any moment, or press play and watch the aircraft marker move along the path at 1x, 4x, or 16x. The readouts follow the marker:

| Time | Elapsed flight time on the log's own clock. |
| Alt | Altitude at that moment (the channel the log carried). |
| SPD | Ground speed at that moment. |
| SATS | Satellite count, when the log recorded it. |
| Distance | Flown distance so far, out of the path's total. |
Readouts that the log never recorded are simply absent — a replay never shows a number the flight didn't log.
Flights without GPS
A hand-logged session has no flight recorder behind it, and some logs record altitude and speed but never a fix. Those flights show no map and no replay — not a placeholder, not a dotted line to a saved site. The stats, the list entry, and everything downstream (dashboards, maintenance, ledger) are unaffected.
A saved flight location is a label you attach to a session, not a recorded path. Sessions with only a location never grow a track.
