Before you pick a tier.
What counts as commercial use?
Paid client work, monetized content, or flying for a business or employer. The Terms of Service has the full definition. Free, Pro, and Team are hobbyist-only and can't be used commercially at any usage level; if money changes hands for a flight you need Enterprise, whose one-seat rung is Enterprise Solo, or Education for a verified school.
Is there a free Pro trial?
Yes — opt in with “Try Pro free for 14 days.” Free stays the default on signup; we never auto-upgrade anyone. No credit card is required to start, and you are not charged unless you explicitly upgrade to paid Pro later. One trial per account (and a soft same-device limit). When the trial ends you return to Free with no surprise charges. Team and Enterprise trials are not self-serve.
Is billing live yet?
Not yet. Paid tiers are invite-only while we finish Stripe checkout. Upgrade buttons show what's coming, and we grant access by hand in the meantime. The Pro free trial works now without collecting a card.
How does enterprise seat pricing work?
One pilot is Enterprise Solo: $79/month, or $790/year at the yearly rate. Past that, Enterprise bills a flat $79 per seat per month with no commitment. Yearly is discounted, and the discount is per seat: $790 a seat for the first 5, then $750, $720, and $690 at 16 seats or more (27% off the monthly rate). You pay for the seats you have, not for the next band up, so a bigger fleet never costs less in total than a smaller one. Above 25 seats it turns into a custom quote on either billing cycle.
Who qualifies for the Education tier?
Verified schools, districts, and drone-education programs only. It isn't a discount path for commercial fleets: it leaves out the whole commercial-ops toolset (CRM, delivery portals, audit packages, JHA, firmware gating), which is why it costs well below Enterprise per seat. We confirm eligibility before we activate the account.
Does the Cert & Waiver Vault ever block a flight?
No. Expired certs and waivers show a warning badge to the pilot and safety manager. The vault never locks anyone out of booking a slot on the scheduling calendar.
What does the included storage cover?
Everything the organization uploads, in one pool: Vault documents (certificates, waivers, medicals), client deliverables, and files in client delivery portals. It comes with Enterprise plans only. Free, Pro and Team are personal plans with no organization to store against, so they have no pool at all. On Enterprise every seat contributes 250 GB, so a 10-seat fleet has 2.5 TB and the 25-seat tier 6.25 TB, however many pilots uploaded.
What do school plans store?
The Compliance Vault, so certificates, waivers and the documents behind them, at a flat 25 GB per school. A school plan is sold per institution rather than per seat. Education plans don't include client delivery (no CRM, portals or deliverables), so a school's allowance is a document allowance and only Vault uploads count against it. District admins, school admins and instructors use the Vault; students don't have Vault access.
What happens when we hit the storage limit?
Cancelling never deletes anything — not the plan, not storage overage. On Enterprise, cancelling overage just means new uploads pause once the pool is full; your files and downloads keep working, and you delete them yourself or re-subscribe. School plans have a fixed 25 GB per school and cannot buy overage, so freeing space is the only lever there. The one exception is an organization with no members left in it: after 30 days with nobody to reach, we delete the organization and everything in it, because an empty organization is pure hosting cost for us and there is nobody left to hand the records to. Re-invite anybody within that month and nothing is lost.
How is storage overage billed?
Metered overage is always billed monthly, since it follows actual usage and can't be committed annually. Each month is charged on the PEAK usage reached during that month, not the balance on the last day: filling the pool on the 3rd and clearing it on the 20th is still billed for the bytes you stored. It's $5 per 100 GB block per month beyond the included pool, and the billing owner has to set it up in Settings → Billing before a full pool accepts anything new.
Do school plans include storage overage?
No. A school plan includes a fixed 25 GB of Vault storage for each school in the district, shared across the district's Vault. It's a hard ceiling, not metered usage, and there's nothing to opt into. Each school the district adds raises the ceiling by 25 GB; when it fills up, the fix is deleting a document.
