Managing a squadron

The owner's console: members, roles, grants, entry codes and the nuclear options.

Squadron owners manage everything from the manage console: open your squadron and click Manage.

Managing members

  • Change roles: promote a trusted pilot to manager, or step a manager back down.
  • Per-member switches: toggle gear-editing and ledger/analytics access per member.
  • Assign role templates: bundle switches into presets and assign them in one click. See Roles & permissions.

Entry codes

Generate a fresh entry code with an expiry of your choosing (a set number of days). Codes:

  • Expire automatically, so there is no cleanup to remember.
  • Can be regenerated at any time; old codes stop working when they lapse.

The money lock

Only owners and managers can edit purchase costs on squadron gear. BeaconUAV enforces this itself; there's no workaround, even outside the app. It keeps the squadron ledger trustworthy.

Leaving, transferring and deleting

These are destructive, so they demand explicit confirmations:

  • Leaving: an owner must transfer ownership (or delete the squadron) before leaving; managers and members can just leave.
  • Deleting the squadron: owner-only, double-confirmed. Shared gear and membership data go with it; your personal hanger and logs are untouched.
Warning:

Deleting a squadron is permanent for the shared space. Members keep their own sessions and personal gear. Squadron hanger entries and ledger history do not survive.
