Is my data private?

Yes. Personal logs and gear are private by default. Shared squadron records are visible only through the organization's role and contribution rules. See Privacy & security in the docs.

Can I use BeaconUAV for free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Free includes flight logging, dashboard views, saved flight locations, exports, and creating or joining a squadron roster. Personal gear, cost, and shared fleet operations require the relevant paid entitlement. Paid tiers are currently invite-only. See Billing & tiers in the docs.

Do sim sessions count toward my streak?

Yes. Any logged session counts toward activity, and the dashboard separates simulator and real-world time.

Question 4

Why should I bind gear to every session?

Accepted Answer

Bound sessions power rig usage, service forecasts, cost-per-flight-hour, battery totals, and maintenance context. Unbound sessions still count as airtime, but they cannot be assigned to a specific airframe.

Can I save where I flew?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Choose a saved personal location while logging or create one inline. Locations are labels, not map pins or airspace authorizations, and they are not shared with a squadron. See Saved flight locations in the docs.

Why does the service forecast say it cannot project?

It needs a configured interval and recent bound flights on at least three different days. The panel shows an explanation instead of inventing a date. See Service forecast in the docs.

What happens to my gear if I leave a squadron?

Accepted Answer

Your personal hanger is untouched. Gear contributed to a squadron stays with that squadron, along with its shared history.

Can two people track the same shared pack pool?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Squadron battery sets accumulate packs across members who log against them. See Shared gear in the docs.

Why cannot a school account use the check-out vault?

Accepted Answer

School equipment is assigned by instructors through the classroom roster. The self-service QR/barcode vault is for squadron organizations so there is one authoritative custody record. See Asset check-out vault in the docs.

Does BeaconUAV collect client payments?

Accepted Answer

No. You can record external payments or review read-only payment-sync arrivals, but BeaconUAV does not provide card checkout, charge funds, or hold money. See Client billing & delivery in the docs.

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Go to Settings → danger zone. Deletion uses a three-step confirmation and a 30-day grace period you can cancel. See Account deletion in the docs.

Something looks wrong: a chart is empty or a page is locked.

Start with Troubleshooting in the docs. Most cases are a missing gear binding, an organization role grant, a plan entitlement, or an intentionally unprojectable forecast sample.
