Organizations & districts
Understand Enterprise and Education organization structure, invitations, policy controls, meetups, district rollups, and administration.
Organization features sit above a single squadron. They let a district, school, or commercial operator manage people, modules, policy, and aggregate operational context without giving every administrator every underlying record.
Organization types
- Enterprise Solo: commercial tools for one pilot.
- Enterprise: commercial fleet tools plus organization controls such as policy lockdowns, SLA clocks, district rollup, and SSO.
- Education: verified school and district workflows, the Compliance Vault, meetups, and education scheduling where configured; it does not include the commercial CRM or client delivery stack.
Members by invitation
Organization administrators can invite someone by email, including a person who does not have a BeaconUAV account yet. An invitation does not consume a seat until it is accepted, and acceptance is checked against the invited email.
Pending invitations can be renewed or withdrawn. The invitation is emailed automatically from BeaconUAV's own address within a minute, with a live join link, and the organization as the reply-to address so replies land with whoever sent it. Renewal keeps the same link working. Withdrawing an invitation stops it: a link that is no longer pending is never sent, and an invitation queued before it was withdrawn will not go out either.
Each organization can pause membership mail entirely, independently of job emails, and every invitation and offboarding notice carries a delivery status you can read.
Offboarding
Removing an organization member is an explicit action. An administrator records a reason and confirms the address. The departing member receives a neutral notice; their personal flight logs and personal hanger are not deleted. The server prevents removing your own access through the offboarding path, removing access supplied by a separate squadron membership, or leaving an organization without an administrator.
Organization HQ
Organization HQ (Team → Organization HQ) is the enterprise administration surface. Enterprise district administrators see aggregate metrics across sub-squadrons (active pilots, combined fleet, and flight hours) with a sub-team card view. District reporting is aggregate-first; it does not automatically grant access to every sub-squadron roster.
School districts are managed separately, in the District console under Classroom.
Policies and meetups
Eligible organizations can schedule meetups and RSVP activity. Organization policies can lock profile fields, require a preflight checklist, enforce a firmware floor, or lock shared inventory. These rules are enforced by the service and shown in Policy status.
SLA clocks and SSO
Enterprise organizations can configure workflow response clocks and review due/breached items in the SLA dashboard. Enterprise administrators can also offer SAML SSO for a claimed email domain. The SAML provider is registered in the identity platform; BeaconUAV stores the domain/provider claim and verifies that it answers.

Organization access is layered: a person needs membership, the organization's plan needs the module, and the person's role needs permission for administrative actions. Each layer is checked independently.
